Terms of Service

Welcome to CourseConnect! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CourseConnect platform, including any related services, features, content, and applications (collectively, the "Service") operated by Alto Tech Services LLC ("Alto Tech", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.

CourseConnect is a multi-tenant platform that enables organizations to manage training courses, events, and certifications. Understanding this structure is important:

• Alto Tech Services provides the platform infrastructure, maintains the software, and ensures system security and availability.
• Your Organization (e.g., RESAS) creates and manages course content, sets pricing, handles enrollments, and determines their own policies for refunds, certificates, etc.
• You use the platform to access courses, events, and certifications offered by your organization.

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account using Google OAuth. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Your account may be associated with one or more organizations within CourseConnect. Each organization may have their own additional terms and requirements.

The Service is intended solely for users who are 13 years of age or older. Any registration by, use of, or access to the Service by anyone under 13 is unauthorized and violates these Terms.

If you are under 18, you represent that you have the consent of your parent or guardian to use the Service.

You agree that you will not:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to it
• Attempt to access areas or features you are not authorized to access
• Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect personal data about other users without authorization
• Engage in harassment, bullying, or predatory behavior
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Organization Content:

Course materials, educational content, and other resources provided through the Service are owned by the respective organizations that created them. Your right to access this content is subject to your organization's terms and your enrollment status.

Your Content:

When you submit content (such as assignments, forum posts, or feedback), you retain ownership but grant your organization and Alto Tech a license to use, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Service.

Platform:

The CourseConnect platform, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Alto Tech Services LLC and protected by intellectual property laws.

Payment for courses, events, and subscriptions is processed by your organization through Stripe or other payment processors. Alto Tech Services does not directly handle payment transactions for course content.

Refund Policy:

Refund policies are determined by each organization. Generally:

• Course refunds may be available within 14 days if less than 25% of content has been accessed
• Event registrations may be refundable up to 48 hours before the scheduled time
• Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may temporarily suspend access for:

• Scheduled maintenance (we'll provide advance notice when possible)
• Emergency security updates
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

By You: You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, contact us at support@altotechservices.com

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We'll provide notice when reasonably possible.

By Your Organization: Your organization may also terminate your access according to their own policies.

The Service and all educational content are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. While organizations strive to provide accurate content, Alto Tech does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any educational materials.

Certifications and credentials issued through the platform reflect completion of specific courses as determined by your organization. Alto Tech does not independently verify or accredit these credentials.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
